On June 13–14, the highly anticipated 4th INNOTECH HKUST (Guangzhou) Innovation & Technology Carnival was successfully held. This year’s carnival boasted an unprecedented scale and influence. It brought together over 150 top-tier sci-tech innovation projects, more than 900 investment institutions and leading industrial enterprises, and attracted over 3,300 elites from all sectors. The event has built a high-level sci-tech innovation platform in the Greater Bay Area that integrates sci-tech achievement exhibition, precise capital matchmaking, efficient technology commercialization and high-end talent exchange, empowering the quality upgrading of the regional innovation ecosystem and facilitating high-quality sci-tech development in the Greater Bay Area.

Professor Lionel Ni Mingxuan, Founding President and Chair Professor of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), delivered a speech at the event, comprehensively reviewing the fruitful outcomes of four years of dedication to sci-tech innovation and talent cultivation. To date, the university has incubated over 260 early-stage tech start-up projects, with more than 140 registered enterprises established. The total valuation of these ventures reaches approximately RMB 6.5 billion, fostering a vibrant "sci-tech innovation rainforest" in the Greater Bay Area and consolidating the research and talent foundation for regional new quality productive forces.

As a core partner of HKUST (Guangzhou), Xiwitech has co-established China’s first joint laboratory for industrial intelligence with the university. At the sub-forum on AI-empowered industries, Xiwitech presented a roadshow as a representative benchmark project. This year’s HKUST Innovation & Technology Carnival featured a wealth of scientific achievements covering cutting-edge fields including artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing, with a dynamic robot showcase presenting frontier research outcomes.
